Abstract

A method of manufacturing a paper grade containing additives under neutral or alkaline conditions, in which 2-oxetanone based size that is made from a greater number than one of fatty acids having main chain comprising 6-22 carbons linked with each other by saturated bonds and the acid(s) including at least one with a branched carbon chain is added to the pulp slurry in order to control the hydrophobicity properties and injet printability of the paper grade. The paper grade contains precipitated calcium carbonate as filler.
