Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for å forbedre forbindelseskvalitet og systemkapasitet i et celledelt radiosystem. Hver celle i det celledelte radiosystemet omfatter minst én basestasjon (BS) som kommuniserer med abonnentterminaler (MS) i dens område. Fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen kjennetegnes ved at abonnentterminalen sender i to tidsluker og mottar i to tidsluker i løpet av en ramme, og at abonnentterminalen anvender tidslukene i rammen som følger etter den ramme som benyttes for sending og mottaking, for å måle nabo-basestasjoner. På grunn av fremgangsmåten og det celledelte radiosystemet ifølge oppfinnelsen, kan metoder som er utviklet for å forbedre forbindelseskvalitet og systemkapasitet i et celledelt radiosystem, slik som frekvenshopping, avbrutt sending og effektstyring, benyttes på trafikkanalene til basestasjonens BCCH-bærebølgefrekvens.
