Abstract

Radiofrekvenser til en basestasjon i et celledelt nett velges adaptivt slik at når man velger opplink-frekvensen, måler basestasjonen ved alle frekvenser eller ved noen frekvenser i mottakingsbåndet benyttet i systemet, hva som er den totale effekten av signalet mottatt ved den angjeldende frekvensen. Frekvensen ved hvilken den laveste effekten mottas velges som opplink-frekvens. Når man velger nedlink-frekvensen, transmitteres et innstillingssignal ved alle frekvenser eller ved noen frekvenser i transmisjonsbåndet. Mobiler lokalisert i områder til andre celler og som opererer ved den samme frekvensen opplever effekten av innstillingssignalet som en interferens. Basestasjonen innstilles til å bruke den nedlink-frekvensen ved hvilken interferensen forårsaket av seg selv på annen trafikk er tilstrekkelig lav.
