Abstract
Ved en fremgangsmåte og en anordning for å frembringe et assistentsignal (H) for å bestemme tidspunktet for en defibrillering eller en hjertemassasje ved en hjertestans, anvendes verdien (W) av blodstrømningen (B) til hodet til pasienten som er gjenstand for hjertefunksjonssvikten for på den ene side å avgjøre nødvendigheten for å aktivere gjenopplivningsimpulsen (strømsjokk/hjertemassasje) og på den andre side for å angi hvorvidt blodtilførselen til hjernen er tilstrekkelig.
