Abstract

I et toveis multibærer transmisjonssystera, så som et DMT-system, hvori der kan være dynamiske forandringer i transmisjonsparametrene, må det tilveiebringes midler for å opprettholde synkroniseringen mellom sender og mottaker idet transmisjonsparametrene forandres. Det første trinn i en slik prosess krever at forandringer i parametrene over-føres fra en tranceiver til den andre, som er involvert i selve kommunikasjonsprosessen, over en langsom trans-mis jonskanal . Deretter justeres synkroniseringen av tranceiverne samtidig, dvs fra et forutbestemt DMT-symbol. Slike justeringer i tidssynkroniseringen må oppnås med et minimum av overhead.
