Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å trans- formere data til et ønsket format i et nettelement. Nettelementet er inkludert i et datanettverk med et driftctøttesystem (104) for drift og vedlikehold av nettverket, og omfatter et ressurslag (106) inkludert ressurser (108) i form av maskinvare og programvare. Ressursene inkluderer nettelementfunksjoner som til- veiebringer tjenester i nettverket, så vel som res- surser brukt til å realisere nettelementfunksjonene. Videre inkluderer nettelementet en driftstøtteplan (110) bestående av programvare og i hvilken nettele- mentet (102) fra driftstøttesystemet (104) ser ut til å bestå av et antall ressursrepresentasjoner (114) og brukes av driftstøttesystemet til å håntere en re- spektivressurs og nettelementfunksjon i sammenheng med utførelse av en nettelementfunksjon. Fremgangsmå- ten innebærer at på anmodning startes en operasjon inkludert det at data i ressurslaget hentes av en kommunikasjonsfunksjon (122). Kommunikasjonsfunksjo- nen sender disse data for å transformeres til det øn- skede format av en transformasjosfunksjon (124) . Transformasjonsfunksjonen utfører transformasjonen og returnerer de transformerte data til kommunikasjons- funksjonen for å fremmes til en ønsket instans.
