Abstract
En påvisningsmetode for fluorescens og anordning til utførelse av fremgangsmåten til påvisning av biologiske aktiviteter i en flytende prøve som f.eks. blod, urin eller spytt der prøven og et kulturmedium innføres i beholdere som kan forsegles og underkastes betingelser som muliggjør en flerhet av metabolske, fysiske og kjemiske endringer som finner sted i nærvær av mikroorganismene i prøven. Under bruk vil anordningen og fremgangsmåten til påvisning belyse et kjemisk sensormateriale i den forseglede beholder med eksiteringslys som settes på og av periodisk i overensstemmelse med en symmetrisk firkantbølge, deler den målte fotostrøm fra fluorescensen i to komponenter som representerer forskjellige harmoniske av det symmetriske firkantbølgesignal, måler amplitudene på de to komponenter, frembringer forholdet mellom de to komponenter og bruker dette forhold som sensorutgangssignaler for å angi biologisk aktivitet.
