Abstract
Det beskrives et kjøletårn som er motstandsdyktig mot sidebelastninger og som benytter et minimalt antall deler og deltyper og hvor horisontalavstivninger er sterkt redusert. Kjøletårnet har en skjelettramme (64) av fiberarmert materiale. I forbindelsen mellom elementene i skjelettrammen er det anordnet momentoverførende forbindelser (100), og det er også anordnet slike forbindelser mellom skjelettrammen og en basis (46) som rammen står på. Ytterligere besparelser kan oppnås ved å bruke løsgjørbare deler fremstilt av tremateriale istedenfor av fiberarmert materiale.
