Abstract
Det omtales en fremgangsmåte og et apparat til for- behandling av et alternativt brensel for å gjøre dette anvendelig som brenselkilde for en forbrenningsmotor (20). Apparatet innbefatter et fordampningskammer (12) hvori det alternative brensel opptas. Et eksosplenum omslutter for- dampningskammeret på en slik måte at termisk energi, som leveres via eksosen (18) fra forbrenningsmotoren (20), kan anvendes til å fordampe det alternative brensel (60). En omløpsstrøm av eksos avledes gjennom det alternative brensel i fordampningskammeret og anvendes til å lede det fordampede brensel (66) gjennom en reaktor (50) forut for introduksjonen i forbrenningsmotoren (20). Reaktoren (50) er innsatt i eksosledningen (16) og er dannet av et reaktorrør (52) som omfatter en reaktorstang (54) som er montert koaksialt i røret (52) dannende et ringrom mellom stangen og røret. Eksosen (18) som ledes gjennom eksosledningen (16) gir termisk energi til reaktoren (50) til forbehandling av det alternative brensel.
