Abstract
Et optisk telekommunikasjonssystem omfatter minst to kilder for optiske signaler som er modulert på forskjellige bølgelengder, og som har respektive koherenstideir, en multiplekser for mul- tipleksing av signalene i en eneste felles, optisk fiber, en fiberoptisk ledning som ved den ene ende er tilkop- let til multiplekserens felles, optiske fiber, en anordning for mottaking av signalene, og et element for reduksjon av fire-bølge-blandingen (FBB) mellom signalene, og som er optisk seriekoplet langs den fiberoptiske ledning. Det FBB- reduserende element omfatter en optisk krets (10) som inneholder minst to bøl- gelengdeselektive filtre (16, 19), hvert i forhold til et bølgelengdebånd som inneholder ett av de optiske signaler, idet filtrene (16, 19) er optisk serie- koplet med hverandre over en optisk bane, idet lengden av minst ett avsnitt (18) av den optiske bane som ligger mellom to fortløpende filtre (16, 19), er større enn den lengde som svarer til koherenstiden til minst en av kildene for optiske signaler.
