Abstract

Et digitalt audiosystem ifølge foreliggende opp- finnelse, for kabelfjernsyn muliggjør sømløs mottagnlng og integrering av analoge video- og audioprogrammer og digitale audioprogrammer. Systemet omfatter en ekstratermlnal (12) med en digital audiomodul (24) for mottagning av en RF modulert digital datastrøm. Ekstraterminalen (12) muliggjør samtidig mottagning av analoge video- og audiosendinger og digitale audlosend- inger. Den digitale audiomodul (24) kan innbefatte en egen frekvensfølsom RF avstemningsanordning (20) som gjør det mulig for både ekstraterminalen (12) og den digitale audiomodul (24) å bli avstemt på og gjengi separate programmer. En fjernsynsmonitormottaker (14) viser normal vldeoprogrammering fra ekstraterminalen (12) og viser også på skjermen kanalvalg og programinformasjon.
