Abstract

The outer wall structure has an outer transparent heat-insulating layer (30) arranged between an outer transparent permeable shell (10) and an inner shell (20), next to the outer shell (10), as well as an inner heat-insulating layer (22) that is part of the inner shell (20). A radiation-permeable separating layer (21') that absorbs an alpha fraction of the solar radiation from the outer heat-insulating layer (30) is located between the outer heat-insulating layer (30) and the inner heat insulating layer (22). The heat transfer resistance Ra of outer shell (10) and outer heat-insulating layer (30) and their total energy transmittance g, as well as the absorbance alpha at the separating layer (21') and the heat transfer resistance Ri of the inner shell (20) with its inner heat-insulating layer (22) are adapted to each other so that at the highest expected insolation and highest outer temperature in summer the separating layer (21') reaches at the most a maximum temperature that can be supported by the materials in the wall structure without damage, whereas the maximum temperature reached at the wall inner surface is still felt as comfortable by persons inside the building.
