Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for å sikre driften av en basestasjon (13) med et radiodeknings- område som er inndelt i minst to sektorer. Base- stasjonen omfatter antenneanordninger (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) og minst en kanalenhet (l, 2, 3) for hver sektor, hvilket tillater basestasjonen å etablere en radioforbindelse med aktive radiosender/mottaker- enheter som for tiden befinner seg i basestasjonens sektorer. I fremgangsmåten er basestasjonen (13) forsynt med en ytterligere kanalenhet (9) hvis trafikk-kapasitet valgbart kan omkoples til en av basestasjonens sektorer. For å sikre driften av basestasjonen når en av kanalenhetene svikter, overvåkes driften av basestasjonens (13) kanal- enheter (l, 2, 3). Når en av kanalenhetene svikter, forbindes den ytterligere kanalenheten (9) med antenneanordningen for den sviktende kanalenhetens sektor ved hjelp av en omkoplingsanordning (10) som forbinder den ytterligere kanalenhetens (9) antenne- tilleggsutstyr med antenneanordningen for en sektor av gangen. Oppfinnelsen angår også en basestasjon hvor fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen kan anven- des.
