Abstract

En fremgangsmåte til å oversette seismiske tidsdata via seismiske dybdedata til seismiske dybde/litologidata tillater en fordelaktig lokalisering av hydrokarboner med redusert risiko. Reduksjon av risikoen for tørt hull oppnås ved å innføre et nytt arbeidsområde som skaffer en mangfoldig økning av parametrene pr. datapunkt svarende til geofysisk rom og forbundet med seismiske sekvensdata. Dette arbeidsområde skaffer forbedret separasjon og definisjon og kvalitetskontroll av en rekke relevante geofaktorer som i sin tur gir forbedret materiell informasjon om en rekke sedimentære bergartsegenskaper. Den forbedrede materielle informasjon kvalitetskontrolleres med hensyn til å være geologisk mulig og kvalitetskontrolleres deretter ytterligere med tanke på konsistens med sannsynlighet via kvantifisering av overdekningshistorie, fordelingen av avsetningsfacies og dataoppløsning.
