Abstract
Karbon- eller karbonbaserte katoder og cellebunner for elektrolyseceller for produksjon av aluminium spesielt ved elektrolyse av alumina i en smeltet halogenidelektrolytt så som kryolitt behandles for bedre å motstå innskyting av natrium under cellearbeidsbetingelsene ved impregnering og/eller belegning med kolloidalt alumina, ceriumoksid, ceriumacetat, silika, alumina, litiumoksid, yttriumoksid, thoriumoksid, zirkoniumdioksid, magnesiumoksid eller monoaluminiumfosfat, etterfulgt av tørking og varmebehandling.
