Abstract

The plastic is then washed in the first washing machine. A pump (17) transfers the cellulose and water to the other washing machine (15). In the second washing machine, the cellulose is washed with alkalis and soap while agitated. The second washing machine has a cover (48) to hold the cellulose therein, while water and waste material pass through. Wood pulp, rubber, glass and plastic are other materials that can be processed and washed for recycling.
