Abstract

En høymolekylær polyester skal fremstilles slik at det er mulig på kort tid og på fordelaktig måte å gjøre tilgjengelig selv små mengder med en meget høy molekylvekt. Dette oppnås ved fremstilling av en polyester med andeler av en alkendiol, idet polykondensasjonstrinnet utføres til et viskositetstall på 5-150 cm3/g og den således oppnådde polyester deretter underkastes en behandling med ioniser- ende stråler til det nødvendige viskositetstall er oppnådd. Ved hjelp av fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen lykkes det å oppnå høymolekylære polyestre med de ønskede egenskaper.
