Abstract

I en optisk fiberspoleløsning for bruk i eksempelvis rotasjonsfølere, kan feil som skyldes aksielle og/eller radielle, tidsvarierende temperaturgradienter mini- maliseres eller i alt vesentlig elimineres ved å anvende omvendte kvadrupoler for følerspolen. En av kvadrupolene er viklet i en + - - + viklings- konfigurasjon. Imidlertid er den neste hosliggende kvadrupol viklet i en - + + - viklings konfigurasjon. Denne omvendte kvadrupolløsning eliminerer i alt vesentlig radielle, tidsvarierende, temperaturgradient- avhengige fell og reduserer aksielle, tidsvarierende, temperaturgradient-avhengige fell. De aksielle, tidsvarierende, temperaturgradient-avhengige fell kan l alt vesentlig elimineres ved å vikle en omvendt oktupolløsnlng. Følgelig blir en omvendt oktupol- løsnlng viklet med en +--+-++--++-+--+ viklingskonfigurasjon. Alternativt kan de aksielle, tidsvarierende, temperaturgradient-avhengige feil i alt vesentlig elimineres ved å tilveiebringe ekstra lengder av " + " og "-" endene som er aksielt forskjøvet, for derved l alt vesentlig å eliminere denne aksielle, tidsvarierende, temperaturgradientavhengige fell.
