Det blir beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av brente metallforbindelser l en roterovn med etterkob- lede moduler, hvorved fremgangsmåten er spesielt kjennetegnet ved at den tillater inntak i ovnen av til dels forurensede flnkornlge, variable utgangsstoffer og faste, flytende eller gassformige brennstoffer gjennom en innblåsingslanse, at det ved målrettet prosesstyring og ved kort kalsineringstid blir fremstilt så vel fine som grovkornige brennprodukter i ønskede andeler og det er mulig med et delvis kretsløp som er ressurs- og energisparende.
