Abstract
Utvidede såkalte viterbialgoritmer av kategori GVA (generaliserte viterbialgoritmer) og SOVA (viterbialgoritmer med "myk" utgang), særlig for å bestemme optimale ruter gjennom et nettverk. I en anvendelse brukes en viterbialgo-ritme av kategori SOVA for å utvikle ny implementering for en seriell GVA. Et annet aspekt gjelder en lavkompleksitets SOVA som frembringer et pålitelig-hetsmål for dekodet informasjon ved å bruke en listeutgang fra algoritmen GVA. I nok et aspekt brukes pålitelig-hetsinformasjon fra en SOVA for å utvikle en lavkompleksitets GVA.
