Abstract

En katalysator for anvendelse ved hydro-omdannelsesprosesser omfatter palladium anbrakt på en silisiumdioksyd-aluminiumoksydbærer, hvor bæreren er blitt fremstilt av et aroorft silisiumdioksyd- aluminiumoksyd-utgangsmateriale med et porevolum på minst 1,0 ml/g. En fremgangs- måte for fremstilling av denne katalysator omfatter fremstilling av en bærer fra et amorft silisiumdioksyd-aluminiumoksyd med et porevolum på minst 1,0 ml/g, og impreg- nering av bæreren dannet på denne måte med palladium ved at bæreren bringes i kontakt med en palladiumforbindelse i nærvær av en væske, fortrinnsvis under sure betingel- ser. Katalysatoren finner generell anven- delse i hydro-omdannelsesprosesser, spesi- elt ved fremstilling av mellomdestillater ved hydro-omdannelse av hydrokarboner fremstilt ved Fischer-Tropsch-prosessen og ved hydroisomerisering av alkaner.
