Abstract

Fiberholdig arkmaterial for anvendelse'i fremstillingen av næringsmiddelemballasje og lignende som fremstilles ved anvendelse av et spesifikt bindingssystem omfattende en initial behandling med en oppløsning inneholde termoplast-materialer som polyvinylalkohol og en påfølgende behandling med et kombinert filmdannende material og et uoppløselig-gjørende middel for det filmdannende material. Behandlingen med polyvinylalkohol er effektiv for å gi høy alkalie-bestandighet eller kaustisk bestandighet til arkmaterialet mens den andre behandling er effektiv til å gi høy våtstyrke til det første behandlede material uten å redusere vesentlig alkalie-bestandigheten derav. Den to-trinns behandlingen må gjennomføres i den indikerte spesifikke rekkefølge for å oppnå den passende kombinasjon av trekk som omfatter høy tørrstyrke og alkalie-bestandighet samme med høy våtstyrke og absorpsjon.
