Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for reduksjon av viskositeten i en halogenid-ion-holdig vandig oppløsning hvor viskositeten erket ved hjelp av en organisk polymer, hvor den vandige oppløsning bringes i kontakt med et brytemiddel som dannes in situ i oppløsningen når oppløsningen underkastes elektrolyse i en elektrokjemisk celle. Opplsningens viskositet reduseres tilstrekkelig til at man kan fjerne faststofffer fra opplsningen ved filtrering eller andre separasjonsteknikker. Viskositeten i den vandige oppløsning kan økes på nytt etter elektrolyse eller etter filtrering.
