Abstract

The habitat element (4) has geometric characteristics (4a, b) which form space (4c) for marine animals in the habitat element, and the habitat unit comprises suspension and retraction means (7, 18) secured between the habitat element and the suspension device, so that the habitat element can be retracted into the suspension device. The suspension device (2) preferably comprises means (5) for attachment to an anchoring device (17) in a fish cage (16).
