Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører et fleksibelt rør for transport av fluider og gasser, for eksempel anvendelig for vanntransport, og ved offshore transport av råolje, for eksempel fra sjøbunnen til en installasjon eller mellom installasjoner. Det fleksible røret i henhold til oppfinnelsen innbefatter en ny type armeringslag som er fremstilt av en kombinasjon av en eller flere profilerte tråder (17) og en eller flere foldede metallremser (31, 32). En profil er en preformet, ikkefoldet tverrsnittsprofil. Profilen kan fortrinnsvis ha en bredde på mindre enn 6 ganger sin tykkelse.
