Abstract
For å etterbehandle spektralverdier som er basert på en første transformasjonsalgoritme for å omforme audiosignalet til en spektral representasjon, blir først en sekvens av blokker av spektralverdiene som representerer en sekvens av blokker av prøver av audiosignalet gjort tilgjengelig. Derpå blir en vektet summering av spektralverdier fra sekvensen av blokker av spektralverdier utført for å oppnå en sekvens av blokker av etterbehandlede spektralverdier, hvor kombinasjonen blir utført slik at for å beregne en etterbehandlet spektralverdi for et frekvensbånd og en tidsvarighet, blir en spektralverdi fra sekvensen av blokker for frekvensbåndet og tidsvarigheten og en spektralverdi for et annet frekvensbånd eller en annen tidsvarighet brukt, hvor kombinasjonen ytterligere blir utført slik at slike vektingsfaktorer blir benyttet at de etterbehandlede spektralverdier blir en tilnærming til spektralverdiene siden de blir oppnådd ved å omforme audiosignalet til en spektral representasjon ved å bruke en andre transformasjonsalgoritme som er forskjellig fra den første transformasjonsalgoritme. De etterbehandlede spektralverdier blir i særdeleshet benyttet henholdsvis innenfor en forskjellsdannelse innenfor en skalerbar koder eller for en addisjon innenfor en skalerbar dekoder.
