Abstract

For gjennomføring av en tegngjenkjenning på et objekt (14) for automatisk prosessering av objektet (14) i et prosesseringssystem hvor objektet (14) inneholder minst én tegnstreng av en prosesseringsinformasjon, blir en tegnstreng uttalt av en operat ør (8) prosessert med en talegjenkjenningsprosedyre for derved å generere en kandidatliste (18) som inneholder minst én kandidat som svarer til den operatøruttalte tegnstrengen. Kandidatlisten (18) og et digitalt bilde (12) av et område som inneholder prosesseringsinformasjonen gjøres tilgjengelig for en optisk tegngjenkjenningsprosedyre (OCR-prosedyre). OCR-prosedyren gjennomføres på det digital e bildet (12) i koordinasjon med kandidatlisten (18) for derved å fastslå om en tegnstreng som gjenkjent med OCR-prosedyren gjennomført på det digitale bildet (1 2) svarer til en kandidat i kandidatlisten (1 8). Enhver slik korresponderende kandidat utgis som tegnstrengen på objektet.
