Abstract
Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for å utføre felforvaltning, et feltforvaltningssystem som innbefatter et bærbart feltforvaltnings-rammeverk (FM-rammeverk) som innledningsvis er frakoplet fra alle simulatorer, én eller flere tilpasningsenheter operativt forbundet med FM-rammeverket, og ett eller flere åpne grensesnitt tilknyttet henholdsvis den ene eller de flere tilpasningsanordningene, hvor de åpne grensesnittene hver har grensesnitt-karakteristikker, idet fremgangsmåten omfatter: å modifiser én eller flere av simulatorene slik at simulatorene passer til grensesnitt-karakteristikkene til de åpne grensesnittene i den ene eller de flere tilpasningsenhetene som er operativt forbundet med FM-rammeverket; deretter å kople den ene eller de flere modifiserte simulatorene til det ene eller de flere åpne grensesnittene for den ene eller de flere tilpasningsenhetene i FM-rammeverket som reaksjon på modifiseringstrinnet; og å utføre feltforvaltnngen på den betingelse at én eller flere modifiserte simulatorer er koplet til det ene eller de flere åpne grensesnittene i den ene eller der flere tilpasningsenhetene for FM-rammeverket. FM-rammeverket er også fleksibelt ved at det tillater kontroll over hvordan FM-rammeverkslogikken blir utført for å romme virkelige feltsituasjoner som krever slik styring. FM-rammeverkets fleksibilitet blir demonstrert gjennom styring av den frekvens ved hvilken utjevningshandlingen blir utført, en bruk av FM-rammeverket for et sett med uttrykk, og en bruk av FM-rammeverket for dynamiske lister over strømmingsentiteter.
