Abstract

En fremgangsmåte og system for å regulere boreslamdensitet i boreoperasjoner. Slammet påkrevd ved brønnhodet kombineres med et basisfluid av forskjellig densitet for å produsere fortynnet slam i stigerøret. Ved å kombinere de passende mengdene av boreslam med basisfluid, kan stigerørsslamdensitet ved eller i nærheten av densiteten for sjøvann oppnås, for derved å tillate større kontroll på trykket i brønnhullet og forskjellige stigerør. Utblåsningsforhindrere kan også anvendes i kombinasjon med prosessen for å regulere disse trykkene. Kaksen separeres på den vanlige måten ved overflaten. Det fortynnede slammet passeres gjennom et sentrifugesystem for å separere boreslammet fra basisfluid med forskjellig densitet. Sentrifugesystemet kan også benyttes for å separere det gjenvunnede borefluidet til en hovedsakelig barytt-del og en hovedsakelig borefluiddel, hvori de to delene lagres lokalt på riggen og resirkuleres under boreoperasjoner.
