Abstract
En fremgangsmåte og system for å regulere boreslamdensitet i boreoperasjoner. Slammet påkrevd ved brønnhodet kombineres med et basisfluid av forskjellig densitet for å produsere fortynnet slam i stigerøret. Ved å kombinere de passende mengdene av boreslam med basisfluid, kan stigerørsslamdensitet ved eller i nærheten av densiteten for sjøvann oppnås, for derved å tillate større kontroll på trykket i brønnhullet og forskjellige stigerør. Utblåsningsforhindrere kan også anvendes i kombinasjon med prosessen for å regulere disse trykkene. Konsentriske stigerør er vist, hvori et ringrom definert innenfor et stigerør benyttes for å frakte basisfluid med forskjellig densitet til injeksjonspunkter for injeksjon inn i boreslammet, mens et ringrom definert innenfor et annet stigerør benyttes for å frakte kombinasjonsfluidet og kaks tilbake til boreriggen. Kaksen separeres på den vanlige måten ved overflaten. Det fortynnede slammet passeres gjennom et sentrifugesystem for å separere boreslammet fra basisfluid med forskjellig densitet.
