Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører et system og en fremgangsmåte for reduksjon av drivstofforbruk i en firetakts stempeldieselmotor, idet systemet innbefatter: et etterfyllingssystem (102) tilkoplet for å motta motorolje fra en firetakts stempeldieselmotor (100) og å motta etterfyllingsolje (HFO), hvor etterfyllingssystemet (102) er konfigurert for blanding av motoroljen og etterfyllingsoljen som resulterer i en blandet olje (103) som blir innført i motoren (100). På denne måten blir den typiske forringelsesprosessen for motoroljen forsinket ved etterfylling av den, slik at de negative virkninger forbundet med forringelsesprosessen blir redusert eller forsinket eller til og med unngått på en svært enkel måte. Etterfyllingssystemet tilveiebringer således øket og konsistent ytelse for den initielle motoroljen som fører til en svært redusert komponentslitasje og utstyrslevetidskostnad. Videre blir et miljøvennlig system tilveiebrakt siden mindre avfall i form av forbrukt olje blir produsert ettersom den anvendbare tidsperioden for motoroljen blir forlenget. Store økonomiske besparelser og miljøforbedringer blir således oppnådd.
