Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte for overvåking av en tilstand for en elektrisk kabel, hvilken fremgangsmåte omfatter tilveiebringelse av et referansesignal CH0 og et signal CHl, idet signalet CH1 er referansesignalet CH0 etter amplitude- og fasemodulasjon av en kabelimpedans ZDUT for den elektriske kabel; beregning av kabelimpedansen ZDUT som en funksjon av den anvendte signalfrekvens basert på referansesignalet CH0 og signalet CHl; og analysering av kabelens impedans for tilveiebringelse av et anslag over kabelens tilstand. Et system som gjennomfører fremgangsmåten er også beskrevet.
