Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og anordning for effektiv drift av en forsterket dedikert kanal (E-DCH) beskrives. En fysisk lagerbehandling inkluderer beregning av ulike styringsparametere etterfulgt av faktisk behandling av data som skal sendes. I overensstemmelse med den foreliggende oppfinnelse utføres beregningen av styringsparametrene asynkront fra den tilknyttede dataoperasjonen. Et medium aksesskontroll (MAC) lag tilveiebringer infon-nasjon nødvendig for beregning av styringsparametrene til det fysiske laget s'a tidlig som mulig, mens data behandles i parallell. De tilveiebragte data inkluderer en hybrid automatisk gj'entagelsesforespørsel (H-ARQ) profil, en transportblokkstørrelse, effektforskyvning eller tilsvarende. Ved 'a sende disse data til det fysiske laget før MAC-e behandlingen er fullført, kan latensrestriksjonen lempes betydelig.
