Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av mellomdestillater fra en parafinisk råvare produsert ved Fischer-Tropsch-syntese, ved anvendelse av en hydrocracking/hydroisomeringskatalysator som innbefatter 0,2 % til 2,5 % i forhold til vekt av et oksid av et dopingelement valgt fra bor, fosfor, silisium, minst ett hydrodehydrogeneringselement valgt fra gruppen dannet av edelelementene fra gruppe VIII i det periodiske system, et ikke-zeolittbærermateriale basert på silika-alumina som inneholder mer enn 5 vekt% og 95 vekt% eller mindre av silika (SiO2), en midlere porediameter, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, i området 20-140 Å, totalt porevolum, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, i området 0,1 ml/g til 0,6 ml/g, et totalt porevolum, målt med nitrogenporøsitetsmåler, i området 0,1 ml/g til 0,6 ml/g, et BET-spesifikt overflateareal i området 100-550 m2/g, et porevolum, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, inkludert i porene med en diameter på mer enn 140 Å, på mindre enn 0,1 ml/g, et porevolum, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, inkludert i porer med en diameter på mer enn 160 Å, på mindre enn 0,1 ml/g, et porevolum, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, inkludert i porer med en diameter på mer enn 200 Å, på mindre enn 0,1 ml/g, et porevolum, målt med kvikksølvporøsitetsmåler, inkludert i porer med en diameter på mer enn 500 Å, på mindre enn 0,1 ml/g, og med et røntgendiffraksjonsdiagram som inneholder minst de karakteristiske hovedtoppene til minst ett av overgangsaluminaene inkludert i gruppen bestående av alfa, rho, khi, eta, gamma, kappa, teta og delta aluminaer.
