Abstract
Sammendrag En fremgangsmåte og apparat for å understøtte dataflytkontroll i et trådløst maskenettverk innbefatter å rapportere til et kildemaskepunkt (MP) i en bestemt vei den tillatte dataraten som hver MP i veien kan understøtte. Kilde MPen sender, over veien, en datapakke som inkluderer et flytidentifikasjons (ID) felt og et tilgjengelig dataratefelt bestemt for en destinasjons MP. En kvitterings (ACK) pakke som inkluderer de samme feltene blir sendt som svar på datapakken. Kilde MPen justerer en datarate i henhold til det tilgjengelige dataratefeltet i ACK pakken. Alternativt kan et opphopningsindikasjonsfelt bli brukt i stedet for det tilgjengelige dataratefeltet for å indikere at opphopning eksisterer på veien. I tillegg kan et kvalitet av tjeneste (QoS) felt indikere QoS parametere for dataflyten som kan være inkludert i data og ACK pakkene.
