Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen vedrører 5-imino-5H-[1,2,4]-ditiazol-3-yl-amin og [1,2,4]-ditiazolidin-3,5-diyliden-diaminderivater som induksjonsmidler for glutation-S-transferase (GST) og NADPH-kinon oksidoreduktase (NQO), fremgangsmåter ved fremstilling av disse forbindelsene og nye mellomprodukter som er nyttige ved syntesen av nevnte [1,2,4]-ditiazoli(di)en derivater. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også anvendelsen av en forbindelse som her er beskrevet for fremstilling av et medikament som er nyttig ved profilakse og behandling av ugunstige tilstander forbundet med cytotoksisitet generelt og apoptose spesielt. Oppfinnelsen vedrører forbindelser med den generelle formel (I): der symbolene har betydningene som er angitt i beskrivelsen.The present invention relates to 5-imino-5H- [1,2,4] -dithiazol-3-yl-amine and [1,2,4] -dithiazolidine-3,5-diylidene diamine derivatives as inducers of glutathione-S transferase (GST) and NADPH-quinone oxidoreductase (NQO), processes for preparing these compounds and novel intermediates useful in the synthesis of said [1,2,4] -dithiazole (di) derivatives. The invention also relates to the use of a compound described herein for the preparation of a medicament useful in the prophylaxis and treatment of adverse conditions associated with cytotoxicity in general and apoptosis in particular. The invention relates to compounds of the general formula (I): wherein the symbols have the meanings given in the specification.
