A plurality of gas entry sections are arranged within the superstructure and formed with a pair of other members spaced apart extending across the sidewalls. At least one nozzle is formed in an interface between the gas transport channel and the respective gas inlet section. The relationship between the cross-sectional area of the nozzle at an outlet thereof relative to a cross-sectional area of the gas transport channel and the exit of the nozzle decreases in the direction of the end of the gas transport channel associated with the gas treatment system.
