Abstract

Arbeidsplate omfattende en første flate (12) og en andre flate anbrakt med mellomrom og med en front (16) som definerer tykkelsen av arbeidsplaten. Arbeidsplaten er utstyrt med et rom mot den bakre delen som kan motta en standard datamaskinbasisenhet. En kraftkilde er tilveiebrakt til dette rommet ved hjelp av kabel, og ytterligere koblinger til basisenheten inne i rommet muliggjør tilkobling til standard eksterne enheter, nemlig en skjerm, et tastatur og en mus. Arbeidsplaten og tilhørende rom er støttet på ben eller andre egnede støtter som kan beveges slik at arbeidsplaten kan heves eller senkes. Arbeidsplaten har minst én ekstern komponent (20), for eksempel en DVD, innlagt i sin tykkelse som er tilgjengelig fra fronten av arbeidsplaten. For at basisenheten av datamaskinen kan kommunisere med komponenten er det tilveiebrakt en konverteringsmodul (3 1) som konverterer USB-signalene i basisenheten til IDE/EIDE signaler mottatt av eller transmittert fra komponenten.
