Abstract

En metode og apparatur for å posisjonere og understøtte arbeidsplattformen (40) i en mobil overhalingsrigg (10) beskrives. I tillegg anvender den foreliggende oppfinnelse én eller flere støttesylindere for å posisjonere og støtte arbeidsplattformen i den horisontale posisjon over brønnhodeutstyret. Det automatiserte posisjonerings- og pinningssystem ifølge den foreliggende oppfinnelse er et spesielt system som signifikant reduserer den tid som kreves for å posisjonere arbeidsplattformen i en mobil overhalingsrigg i den operative posisjon, så vel som at systemet signifikant reduserer faren for skade på riggpersonell som assisterer i posisjoneringsoperasjonene.
