Abstract

Innretningen (10) hviler på havbunnen på et sted under vannflaten, for utnyttelse av bølgeenergi. Innretningen (1 0) innbefatter et legeme (11) med en membran (25) utformet for deflektering som svar på bølgeinnvirkning. Et arbeidskammer (27) er anordnet like under membranen (25) og inneholder et komprimerbart fluid, så som luft. Et pumpesystem (43) er anordnet i arbeidskammeret (27). Pumpesystemet (43) innbefatter to resiproserende pumper (45, 47) som arbeider motsatt hverandre. Pumpene (45, 47) er drivforbundet med membranen (25) med en vektarmmekanisme (61). Som følge av vektarmmekanismens (61) geometri er den enkelte pumpes (45, 47) slaglengde mindre enn amplituden til bevegelsen til membranen (25) når denne beveger seg som svar på bølgeinnvirkning. Vektarmmekanismen (61) øker den kraft som virker på hver pumpe (45, 47) i et gitt forhold og reduserer slaglengden til hver pumpe i samme forhold. Reduksjonen i slaglengde muliggjør en kompakt oppbygging slik at pumpene (45, 47) kan opptas i arbeidskammeret (27). Pumpene (45, 47) trekker sjøvann fra omgivelsene og inn i innretningen (10) og sender sjøvannet ut med et høyt trykk. Høytrykksjøvannet fra pumpene kan ledningsføres til land for egnet bruk der.
