Abstract

Kuleventilsetet (10) er beskrevet som tilveiebringer en midlertidig tetning for en plugg (40). Ventilsetet omfatter et vesentlig sylindrisk legeme (30) av et første volum som danner en seteflate (34). En trykkdifferensial blir utviklet over ventilsetet når pluggen tett griper seteflaten. Legemet er formet av et elastisk materiale som komprimeres fra et første volum til et mindre, andre volum ved tilførsel av en kraft på pluggen for å tilveiebringe en klaring som er større enn pluggens dimensjon og således muliggjør passasje av pluggen nedstrøms. Etter passasje av pluggen returnerer legemet til det første volum.
