Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte og system for gassfriing om bord på et fartøy eller annen installasjon, omfattende et antall tilstøtende oljetanker (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) som er forbundet via et nedre bunnrørsystem (10), hvor tankene etter uttømming av olje omfatter en gass i gassform, så som hydrokarbongass, og hvor hver tank omfatter minst et innløp (12) innrettet til mottak og innførsel av en gass, så som inertgass og/eller luft, med lavere egenvekt enn den gassen som er tilstede i tanken, og et utløp for utførsel av gassblandingen av tilstedeværende gass og tilført gass. Et antall tanker (1, 2, 3, 4) som ligger foran eller tilstøtende et dropprør (16) i rekken av tankene, er innrettet til å ventilere ut gassblandingen av tilstedeværende gass og tilført gass, fra bunnen av en tank via et vertikalt utluftingsrør (14) som løper fra tilstøtende bunnen av tanken og ut av tanken. Et antall tanker (5, 6) som ligger aktenfor nevnte dropprør (16) i rekken av tanker, er innrettet til å ventilere ut gassblandingen av tilstedeværende gass og tilført gass, fra bunnen av en tank via bunnrørsystemet (10) som løper hovedsakelig horisontalt gjennom rekken av tanker, og ut gjennom nevnte dropprør (16).
