Oppfinnelsen relaterer seg til en mottaker som har en digital timinggjenvinningsfunksjon Mottakeren til oppfinnelsen detekterer frekvensforskyvning til et mottatt signal for å bruke symbolkorrelasjon mellom det mottatte signalet og referansesignal, og øker/minsker antallet datasampler i samsvar med den detekterte frekvensforskyvningen, og gjenvinner derved symboltiming til det mottatte signalet.
