Abstract

Det er beskrevet fremgangsmåter for densitetsmåling som er nøyaktige over et utvidet område med veggavstander. En fremgangsmåte innbefatter: a) å fremskaffe en veggavstand, en nærdetektor- tellehastighet og en fjemdetektortellehastighet; b) å bestemme en formasjonsdensitetsmåling ved å bruke nær- og fjemdetektortellehastigheter når veggavstanden er mindre enn en forutbestemt verdi; og c) å bestemme formasjonsdensitetsmålingen ved å bruke bare tellehastigheten til ^emdetektoren og veggavstandsmålingen når veggavstanden er større enn den forut bestemte verdien. Fremgangsmåten kan videre innbefatte og beregne en kalibreringsparameter når veggavstanden er mindre enn den forutbestemte verdien. Kalibreringsparameteren tjener til å kalibrere en veggavstandsbasert korreksjon av tellehastigheten til ^emdetektoren, for å muliggjøre nøyaktige målinger av formasjonsdensitet ved store veggavstander. Målingene blir tatt med et roterende loggeverktøy som får veggavstanden til å svinge mellom store og små verdier.
