Abstract
Sammendrag Denne oppfinnelsen er relatert til et apparat for å detektere hydrogenholdige materialer på et skipsdekk innbefattende en neutronkilde lokalisert under flaten til skipets dekk og som sender hurtige/energirike neutroner og en detektorinnretning som er lokalisert under flaten til skipets dekk og som detekterer termiske neutroner. Foreliggende oppfinnelse er videre relatert til en tilsvarende fremgangsmåte for å detektere hydrogeninneholdende materiale på et skipsdekk. Herved er et apparat og en fremgangsmåte gitt for å detektere tilstedeværelsen av vann på et skipsdekk, hvor disse tilstedeværelsene opptrer særlig hvor det reises i grov sjø. Apparatet er lokalisert under skipets dekk hvor det som konsekvens ikke er utsatt for slitasje på grunn av tøffe værbetingelser.
