Abstract
Et system for skanning av en antennerekke (26) tilpasset for bruk med aktive radarrekker eller retningsantenner. En første mekanisme (14,18,20,24) genererer et optisk signal som oscillerer ved en forutbestemt frekvens. En andre mekanisme (32,34) bruker det optiske signalet for å avlede matesignaler, som har forutbestemte faseforhold. En tredje mekanisme (22) mottar matesignalene og utstråler korresponderende sendesignaler som respons på dette til antennerekken (26) for å styre antennerekken (26) i samsvar med de forutbestemte faseforholdene. I en spesifikk utførelse er sendesignalene mikrobølgefrekvenssignaler. Den første mekanismen (14,18,20,24) innbefatter en første optisk oscillator (1 8) og en andre optisk oscillator (20) som mater en respektiv første optisk manifold (32) og en andre optisk manifold (34), av den andre mekanismen (32,34). Den første optiske manifolden (32) innbefatter en optisk mating som tilveiebringer differensialforsinkelser i et signal utsendt fra den første optiske oscillatoren (1 8) via optiske matinger med forskjellige lengder for å tilveiebringe en progressiv fase som korresponderer med de forutbestemte faseforholdene.
