Abstract
Syntesegass fremstilles ved en syklisk fremgangsmåte der det første trinnet i syklusen inkluderer reformering av en hydrokarbonføde over en katalysator til syntesegass i en første sone i et sjikt og det andre trinnet gjenoppvarmer den første sonen. En hydrokarbonføde innføres til et sjikt sammen med e02 og alternativt damp der den reformeres til en syntesegass. Syntesegassen oppsamles i en andre sone i sjiktet og en oksygenholdig gass innføres deretter til den andre sonen i sjiktet og forbrennes med drivstoff, for derved å gjenoppvarme den første sonen til tilsfrekkelige reformeringstemperaturer. 1 tillegg kan ikke-breimbar gass også innføres til den andre sonen for å flytte varme fra den andre sonen til den første sonen.
