Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en metode for prosessering av organisk materiale, hvor en biologisk omdannelsesmetode anvendes på det organiske materialet i minst en første reaktor, biogassen som dannes ved biologisk omdannelse behandles med ammoniakk i minst en andre reaktor, og bufferforbindelsen som dannes i den andre reaktoren resirkuleres til biologisk omdannelse i den første reaktoren. På denne måten reagerer karbondioksidet fra den blandete metan/karbondioksid-gassen med ammoniakk og danner en bufferforbindelse, slik som ammoniumbikarbonat og/eller ammoniumkarbonat.
