Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for avvisning av nitrogen fra en tilførselsgasstrøm omfattende metan og nitrogen med det formål å danne et metanprodukt omfatter avkjøling av tilførselsgass-strømmen i en hovedvarmeveksler (4) og rektifisering av den avkjølte tilførselsgass-strømmen i en dobbel rektifiseringskolonne (12) omfattende en rektifiseirngskolonne med høyere trykk (14) og en rektifiseirngskolonne med lavere trykk (16). En strøm av gass resirkuleres fra rektifiserings-kolonnen med lavere trykk (16) til rektifiseringskolonnen med høyere trykk (14). En første del av resirkuleringsstrømmen komprimeres i en kompressor (48), avkjøles, gjøres flytende i en kondensatorkoker og føres inn i rektifiseringskolonnen med høyere trykk (14). En andre del av resirkuleringsstrømmen komprimeres også i kompressoren (48), avkjøles, kondenseres i hovedvarmeveksleren (4) eller ved ekspansjon, og føres inn i den doble rektifiseringskolonnen (12) i flytende form. Minst en del av avkjølingen av begge delene av resirkuleirngsgassen gjennomføres i hovedvarmeveksleren (4). Et metanprodukt trekkes ut i væskeform fra rektifiseringskolonnen med lavere trykk (16) ved hjelp av en pumpe (42).
