Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for overføring av informasjon fra en informasjonsleverandør (100) til en informasjonskonsument (190) på en høyeffektivt måte ved hjelp av et digitalt video- kringkastingssystem (DVB, 140) og et sekundært toveisrertet overføringsnettverk (130). Det sekundære toveisrettete over- føringsnettverket gir informasjon om hvor DVB-mottageren (191) hos informasjonskonsumenten er lokalisert, slik at kun kun passende DVB-sendere (146) i området anvendes til selve informasjonsoverføringen. Lokaliseringen bestemmes ved at man har minst en av enten senderfrekvensen, original- nettverksidentifikasjonen, transportstrømidentifikasjonen og/ eller nettverksidentifikasjonen, for en transportstrøm fra en sender som mottageren kan motta, overført via det sekundære toveisrettete overføringsnettverket. Dermed behøver kun de nødvendige DVB-sendeme anvendes for informasjonsover- føringen, for med dette å avlaste resten av DVB-sendeme (145,147) fra unødige belastning.
