Abstract
To locate an earth fault in a conductor in a three-phase electrical power system (RYB), the transients caused by the earth fault in the measurement signal (I1) representing the sum current (I0) and in the measurement signal (U1) representing the misalignment voltage (U0) of the system star point (Mp;Mp') are particularly sensitively analysed in that the measurement signals (I1, U1) are reduced by their stationary components (I2, U2). <IMAGE>
